When using the Wyoming Frontier Information (WYFI) Health Information Exchange (HIE) during a pandemic event, the goals are:
- Improved workflow by enabling immediate access to clinical, lab and social histories to help with identifying at-risk patients during pandemic events
- Identification of pending or active pandemic-related cases is now faster and more efficient; this will help with other types of health crises that may occur in the future
- Improved patient and provider safety resulting from early identification of patients impacted by pandemic illnesses and postponing procedures
Learn more below about how using the WYFI HIE during a pandemic benefits patients and providers alike.
